FIACONA Mourns the Passing of Pastor Bryan Nerren, Champion of the Persecuted Church

Condolence Message – Pastor Bryan Nerren

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt grief that we, the Executive Committee and Advisory Board of the Federation of Indian American Christian Organizations of North America (FIACONA), mourn the passing of our dear brother in Christ, Pastor Bryan Nerren.

Pastor Nerren, a former Senior Pastor of the International House of Prayer Ministries in Shelbyville, Tennessee, was a long-time Advisory Board Member of FIACONA, a faithful servant of God, and a tireless advocate for the voiceless and vulnerable. He shepherded his congregation with passion and humility, and his ministry extended far beyond church walls and national borders.

Through his nonprofit, Asian Children’s Education Fellowship, Pastor Nerren dedicated his life to educating and uplifting poor and needy children in India and Nepal. Even while managing a full-time job in the United States and caring for his beloved daughter who required constant attention, he remained steadfast in his mission to serve the “least of these” with the love of Christ.

His life was a testimony of sacrificial love, unwavering faith, and Christ-like endurance. While serving in India and Nepal training Sunday School teachers, Pastor Nerren faced persecution for his faith—imprisoned for a week and detained for 18 months. Yet through it all, he never lost hope or compromised his witness.

Pastor Nerren lived out the Gospel boldly, and his unwavering dedication reminds us of the words of the Apostle Paul:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day…”
— 2 Timothy 4:7–8 (NIV)

We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, children, extended family, church community, and all those touched by his remarkable ministry. We uphold the bereaved family in our prayers, asking God to surround them with His peace, comfort, and strength during this time of loss.

Though we mourn, we do so with hope, knowing that Pastor Bryan Nerren now rejoices in the eternal presence of His Savior.

Well done, good and faithful servant.

In Christ’s Love and Hope,
Executive Committee & Advisory Board
Federation of Indian American Christian Organizations of North America (FIACONA)
