Br. Anson Thomas, a renowned Christian activist, is a retired customs officer and former hockey player who dedicated his life to rescuing women and children from Mumbai’s red-light areas. Through his mission, he has successfully rescued and rehabilitated over 800 women and children, helping them reintegrate into mainstream society. In 2009, he was honored with the CNN and Reliance Industries Real Heroes Award for Women Empowerment, recognizing his impactful work.
